A screw water chiller is a type of industrial chilling equipment with a large cooling capacity, it is widely used in central air-conditioning and the large Refrigeration Industry for refrigerating and cooling purposes. it adopts a water circulation working principle that saves water. It generates chilled water as direct media for cooling industrial equipment and keeps its temperature at a low-temp state.
1. For chilling systems that have long hours of underloading operating conditions, it is suitable to choose a multi-head piston compressor or screw compressor unit, for easy adjustment and energy saving. That is a double-head screw water chiller, the chiller automatically determines numbers of head to power-on according to load changes. This enables the compressor to work under the optimum working condition, thus effectively saving electricity.
2. Give priority to units with a higher performance coefficient when choosing a screw water chiller. According to previous industry statistics, during one year, full-load operation time is less than 25%. The corresponding operation time to 100% ,75%,50%,25% load are 2.3%,41.5%,46.1%,10.1% respectively. So we need to choose screw chillers with a flat efficiency curve. In the meantime, we need to check the adjustable range.
3. We need to pay attention to working conditions when choosing screw chillers. The actual cooling capacity of the water chiller is related to a chilled water outlet temperature and flow rate, inlet temp. of cooling water, flow rate, and scaling factor.
4. We need also to pay attention to the normal work scope of the screw water chiller, the motor electrical current limit value is the shaft power current under nominal conditions.
5. Under nominal working conditions screw industrial chiller outlet temperature should be below 15℃, air-cooled screw chiller outdoor dry-bulb temperature should be below 43℃. When it exceeds the before mentioned range, we should check if it is allowed by compressor application fields and if the motor power is enough.
